Welcome to our luxury one bedroom Nordic-inspired retreat a short distance from the popular coastal communities of Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe, with all the sights and activities they have to offer. The Barn is the perfect place to explore, unwind and relax away from it all. Whether you stay for a few nights or a few weeks, our contemporary, cosy hideaway will leave you feeling relaxed and revived with a true Nordic feeling of hygge.

The Space

The Barn offers a Scandinavian-style open-plan living space with a log-burning stove and pitched clad ceiling giving a feeling of space and light. Double doors lead to a garden, with an additional south-facing patio area at the front for morning breakfasts. That is, of course, if you can bring yourself to leave the beautifully decorated bedroom, which features a super king bed, feather pillows and duvets finished with White Company linen ensuring a blissful night’s sleep. The generous bathroom boasts a freestanding bath with a separate shower and underfloor heating. The fully stocked kitchen will include tea, coffee, bread, butter e.t.c however as part of our onsite concierge service we are happy to supply breakfast items if you require anything in particular do get in touch. There is parking for two cars on a private drive and the Barn also has Freeview TV and Wifi for those who want to stay connected to the outside world and a music system.

Location

North Devon is a county of contrasts, from the wilds of Exmoor, the magical woodlands hugging the coastline, the quaint villages of the coast to the beaches which are a haven for surfers this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty something to offer everyone. The Barn is perfectly placed to explore it all.

After a busy day you can return to your cosy sanctuary, listen to the owls and experience some of the best stargazing England has to offer.

Onsite Concierge Service

We live in the main house and are happy to assist with anything from lighting fires for arrival and buying supplies to booking activities. Think of us as your personal PA – we are here to help make a truly memorable break. We have lived in Devon for over ten years so whether you are here to try out some watersports, horse-riding or just find the best local places to eat, we can recommend where to go.

Children

Although The Barn is set up to sleep two people, we can organise for a travel cot to be set up in the bedroom on request, along with highchairs etc.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at The Barn; however, we do have a small child and our own dog, so we would ask they are kept under control at all times including in the back garden, which is not fully enclosed at this time. We also ask that dogs are not allowed on the furniture please. Let us know at the time of booking if you would like to bring a dog as there is a one-off fee of £25, we can provide beds, bowls etc. on request just let us know and we’ll have it all catered for.
