“ The barn is an absolutely idyllic place to stay. It is perfectly positioned in the Devon countryside but is well within reach of stunning beaches and towns such as Ilfracombe and woolacombe. Sam and Ted are the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome. We would not hesitate to return . The barn itself is immaculately clean , tastefully decorated and has a number of great features including a powerful shower, big bath and all the kitchen facilities you will need during your stay. The big cosy sofa and the log burner also create the perfect cosy corner for relaxing. Jessie”

“We have had a fantastic stay. It’s a beautiful barn. The weather wasn’t brilliant on the Friday so we took full advantage of the log burner and films. The Rock is a must stop the mussels are great. “100% wonderful. We loved our child- free get away to the Barn. It was totally relaxing and really luxurious. Felt like a stay in a boutique hotel. The weather wasn’t great while we were there but just enjoyed relaxing in the Barn by the cosy fire with small expeditions to the pub and beach for some fresh air. “What a lovely place! Often you look at pictures and the actual place is not quite what you hoped. It’s clear that Sam and Ted have put a lot of time, energy and thoughtful creativity into this delightful place. We loved the little stylish touches, which felt a bit like an interior design gem - elegant lighting, unique bathroom carved wood shelf, and polished concrete heated floors to mention a few. Indeed, they have created a place that they would be happy to call their home, if they need it to and this shows. The place is surrounded by pleasant green fields, located in a beautiful part of Devon, near several excellent beaches, Exmoor national park and lots more we didn’t have time to explore, but will have to go back to do so! Sam and Ted are delightful, friendly and happy to help with anything you might need to make your stay a good one. On reflection after our brief week’s stay, I would say that the place and stay made it feel like a beautiful new home away from home, a breath of fresh air, without the familiar boring stresses you have of keeping or being in your own home - I hope that makes sense! - Anthony”

“Sam and her family were absolutely lovely! We absolutely loved The Barn, it’s beautifully decorated, with soft furnishings making an extremely beautiful and cosy stay. So much so we wanted to stay longer! There is everything you would need inside. Our small dogs loved the safe and beautiful garden and the under floor heating. “My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week, we were looking for a quiet holiday destination where we could rest in the surroundings of the countryside whilst also being close enough to regularly visit the beaches. The Barn was the perfect spot and exceeded all of our expectations. The Barn is decorated beautifully, every corner of it, the outside area is also beautiful and we had tonnes of space that felt like “just ours” Sam and Ted (the hosts) were fabulous and ensured we had the best week, they recommended lots of things for us to do, provided us a BBQ to use in our own garden area, stocked the barn with ethical cleaning/utility products, were always on hand if we had a question whilst also providing us enough room to have time just the two of us! I can’t recommend The Barn enough, it was everything we were looking for and more and we are definitely coming back, thank you again! - Sophie and Lawrence”

“Just got back home after a fantastic 3 night stay. I’ll get straight to the point, if you are looking for a beautiful location amongst some of the countries nicest beaches in a wonderful accommodation book this barn! It is exactly like the pictures and then so much more. Fantastic features throughout right down to the woodwork and old roof beams. Sam and Ted were brilliant, very friendly, very informative about local tips and pointers (which is all in the welcome pack,) and very respectful of your privacy. You are bang in the middle of Croyde and Woolacombe so a superb choice of beaches. Our favourite was Putsborough beach and although £7 a day parking, it is 100% worth it. You have various pubs and restaurants within short drives, we loved The Rock Inn, just up the road and Billy Buds/The Thatch in Croyde. Thank you so much for such a much needed rest before the huge stresses of a newborn. We didn’t want to leave and could have stayed a lot longer. We will 100% be back but this time there will be three of us. Once again thank you for sharing your beautiful barn/home/sanctuary/getaway! - Aaron”

“We had a fantastic time staying in this beautiful, luxurious villa / barn. Immediately after booking, Sam contacted us to check if we had any special requirements for our stay and provided an extensive guide to everything there was to do in the area. The place itself was finished to an outstanding level of detail, very clean and modern in terms of appliances, but all put together in sheek way that made it feel like a 5 star resort. Being mostly open plan, it was great for us with a young baby to keep an eye on her whilst cooking dinner; of which the kitchen is superbly equipped - we even cooked a roast! “Sam’s place exceeded our expectations in all areas. It was clean and full of great amenities. Top tip, try the coffee beans provided, they’re great! The attention to detail and design of the Barn is exceptional and even though we had studied all the pictures we were blown away upon arrival. Sam and her husband are right next if door if needed but not intrusive. A very detailed guide provided in the Barn has everything you’d need to know about the local area. “What an absolutely tranquil and stunning barn to stay in. Superbly clean, inviting and comfortable. Beautifully finished with everything we needed. An added bonus of Netflix, fabulous bath suite and comfortable bed. Sam was so welcoming and gave us great little tips about where to eat, so a lovely walk over to the pub for a delicious meal on our first evening and walking back with a torch provided by Sam, under the stars was just perfect. Second evening was a curry on the beach in Woolacombe whilst watching the sunset. Both evenings were topped off with the log burner. We would have loved to have stayed longer! Thank you! - Rebecca”

“This place is stunning and a lot more spacious than the photos suggest. Everything has been finished to a very high standard and the place is just amazing. We stayed for 2 nights and didn’t want to leave such a peaceful and relaxing space. All the basics were provided like tea, real coffee, milk, bread etc. There was even a small torch which we made use of to walk to and from the pub... the barn is about as rural as it gets in Devon which is one of our favourite things about the area! Sam and her husband Ted were so friendly and accommodating even lending us their personal bbq and coals. Thank you for having us! - Rob”
